Desiree has been in the Navy since 2014, serving areas such as OBGYN, Mother Infant Care Center (MICC), Inpatient Pediatrics, and Preventive Medicine. During her time in MICC, a love for postpartum care and lactation support was born. She graduated from National University with a Master's in Public Health (Health Promotion concentration) and is currently working as an Alternate Public Health Emergency Officer and Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor at her current command. She is also a Basic Life Support Instructor through American Red Cross. Desiree is married and has one daughter she breastfed for 15 months.
She sees each pregnancy as a unique miracle. Currently, Desiree is a Certified Postpartum Doula through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training and is completing her Full Spectrum Doula training through the same company. Desiree helps women through emotional and physical recovery from childbirth.
